We attended our first American Football match on Sunday and what an afternoon it turned out to be. It took us a while to get to grips with how the game proceeds but through the assistance of a very friendly and welcoming crowd and the match commentator we soon got into enjoying the game.

Pre match entertainment was the singing of “Flower of Scotland” by Michell McManus and throughout the match we where entertained by the “Signature Dance Squad”.

The match itself was a success from the East Kilbride Pirates (our local team) point of view as they beat the Yorkshire Rams 26 to 14.

From my point of view the afternoon was even more successful as I was able to meet a fellow twitterer (Michell McManus) and won a bottle of Whisky in the raffle.
